ARTIFICIAL LIGHT AT NIGHT (ALAN)
Просмотров 3622 месяца назад
As coastal areas become increasingly built up, concerns are growing about levels of artificial light at night (ALAN) and its potential impacts on the marine environment. Light pollution is well-studied in terms of its effects on the night sky and astronomy, and on terrestrial ecosystems, but effects on the ocean have been understudied. The studies that have been completed have found that up to ...

This video contains the UN Climate Change disclaimer. Global warming was officially stated at 1.1°C in 1991 and 1.06°C in 2022. There is no mechanism that would allow greenhouse gas behavior to cause global warming. The back of the United Nation's IPCC science report states it took its greenhouse gas samples at 20,000 meters altitude where it is common high school level knowledge there is no greenhouse radiant energy. This is typical practice for deceptive marketing to state legal data transparency protecting the perpetrators from fraud prosecution. Earth's greenhouse effect is frequently used as a primary example to high school students of a system always in saturation from the strong greenhouse gas water vapor absorbing all the greenhouse radiant energy from the earth with greenhouse gases within 20 meters of the surface that is all around us everyday and can't have its overall effect changed. There is no further greenhouse radiant energy to interact with greenhouse gases. At 1% average tropospheric water vapor over 99% of earth’s greenhouse effect is from water vapor. Water vapor would hold earth's greenhouse effect in saturation if it were the only greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. Arctic warming is taking place with the proving mechanism being warm Atlantic Ocean waters migrating deeper and more frequently into the Arctic Ocean warming it and the region. That warmer water is causing a few weeks less of reflective snow and ice coverage resulting in more solar heat gain to the Arctic region surface. Atmospheric CO2 levels of 1200 ppm about three times what they are today would greatly invigorate C3 plants the majority of plant life on earth greatly greening the planet. 0.4% of the atmosphere is CO2 and on average 1% is H20 water vapor. (1% H20)/(0.4% CO2) = 25. Water vapor is 25 times more present in the atmosphere on average than CO2. Water vapor has an CO2e of 18, 18 X 25 = 450 CO2e total for water vapor to 1 CO2e for CO2. The Earth’s oceans have 3-1/2 million sea floor volcanic vents warming the water and changing it’s chemistry that have not been systematically accounted for.

Carbonic acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide is rising. In geologic past CO2 levels have been ten times higher than today with plant remains of those periods indicating thriving tropical environments. One of the few apparent issues with higher atmospheric carbon dioxide is higher carbonic acid levels in the oceans. The higher CO2 levels will invigorate ocean plant growth. As regards ocean acidification, it is estimated that the ocean’s global mean surface pH may have declined (i.e., become less alkaline and thus more “acidic”) by -0.07 to -0.08 in the last 200 years - from pH8.12 during pre-industrial times to 8.04 to 8.05 today (Wei et al, 2015). N.B. The decline in pH occurred before 1930. However, and very importantly when you look the data after CO2 emissions began rising precipitously in the 1930s, the oceans have become less “acidic”!!! By way of comparison, from one season to the next, or over the course of less than 6 months, pH levels naturally change by ±0.15 pH units, or twice the overall rate of the last 200 years. On a per-decade scale, the changes are even more pronounced. Oceanic pH values naturally fluctuate up and down by up to 0.6 U within a span of a decade, with an overall range between 7.66 and 8.40. This decadal rate of pH change is larger than the overall 200-year span (0.07-0.08) by a factor of 8. Indeed the daily noted maximum pH range of 0.7 (Santos et al. 2011) is far greater than the overall change predicted between now and the end of the century.

Plymouth Marine Laboratory is the highest advanced opportunity to understand and conserve our marine ecosystem and should be the focus point of worldwide education in Blue Carbon 💙 project, which is the only chance we have to mitigate this ongoing climate crisis. Florida State University Coastal Marine Laboratory is a leading practitioner of this advanced education program and these (as all) Marine ecosystem restoration projects should receive the necessary funding and respect by all means possible.

Seems like all theses exceptionally bad summers are 100% from aviation fuels and ships from the Atlantic. All we get over the south wet is clouds appearing every morning like clockwork as the ships put millions of tones of diesel smoke that caused clouds and white clouds that the sun takes all day to try to burn away. Fooling governments, manly intrested in £$ are letting the planet come to complete ruine. Mamals depend on sunshine going through the sea water as it has done for millions of years. The last 100 years coal ships, diesel ships with particulates that flow straight through the lungs and directly into the blood stream, can do nothing but harm our generations. Every day over England were denined the blue skies and sun as the contrails are purposly put in the skies from the ciil avation authority directing airlines from germany / france/ holland are all directed non-stop (Not Landing in England) to head to Londown and straight down through the southwest to cause all day. every day clouds. Seems like the aviation authority have their agenda correct for the right people. Eland used to have 6 weeks of summer a few decads ago and we certainly never wore rain coats in summer as winter things were packed away for the next season. As usual money is the route to all evil and evil will kill the humans and the planet. UN-NATURAL WEATHER BEING MADE DAILY FOR THE CONVENINCE OF PEOPLE WITH MONEY SAT IN SUNNY FOREIGH LANDS UNDER THE SUN ENJOYING THEIR LIVES.

Acidification of the oceans is as important as the protection of life itself in our environment. It is like improve our future, it is to ensure the enjoyment of life to our third generation, since the short-lived in our home called earth gives us the right to continue hurting the future that many see outer space like existential perpetuity.... Although, to migrate to other planets our species should honor our Mother Earth. Therefore, we make from wetlands (ORIBOR) develops life protecting and promoting awareness for motherhood fish every day is a place of coexistence between man and his future. Tw:@ECORIBOR

to much poetry at the beginning, and the 30% of pH decrease is not explained ( (0.1/8.1)*100 doesn't make 30% so, what does "in real terms"mean? ). at last, I think that we should alert more the public than the decision makers who are hand-tights, like industry, by population willing. people have power 'cause they are consumer ! but interesting things are said and I will use it in classroom.
